Tekton Career Training (formerly The Lantern Project) serves the displaced and disadvantaged through construction trades training and leadership development. Students receive formal construction training through National Center for Construction Education and Research, leadership and professional development and mentorship through partner organizations and companies.
A key aspect of the program is the opportunity for volunteers to serve in our mentorship initiative. Each volunteer mentor is paired with a trainee from one of over 20 different countries in a guided program which focuses on developing employability and soft skills. As a mentor, you will become both a friend and a guide, but more importantly, you will have amazing opportunities to strategically and effectively share your faith.

Intertwined Candles is the newest nonprofit to the Grace Village family, and was founded by a group of women whose lives were wonderfully intertwined with refugees here in Clarkston and wanted to seek change. The candles are handmade by refugee women living in Clarkston, Georgia- "the most diverse square mile in America," using repurposed glass bottles and all-natural soy wax.
For decades, people from over 140 countries have come to Clarkston, Georgia to escape war and other unimaginable circumstances. Despite very different backgrounds, the refugee women of Clarkston impacted the lives of a small group of American women. As their hearts and lives were woven together, Intertwined Candles was born so that the light of their friendship could shine in your life, too!
For more information on how to intertwine your life with theirs, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.

Generation Salaam is our weekly summer outreach in Clarkston to refugees from around the world. Salaam means peace in Arabic, so our community of volunteers desires to see the Kingdom come to Clarkston by being a generation of peace. We do this by building relationships with families and through a weekly kids’ program at apartment complexes. Our goal is to cultivate friendships with these families, bring hope, and share love! For a better visual understanding of what a typical Wednesday looks like, check out this video, or this video here.

We help to provide free professional counseling to refugees who are recovering from traumatic situations and/or are dealing with emotional or family issues. In addition we mentor/disciple people in the refugee community both individually and as families.
The Grace medical outreach, in partnership with the CMDA, hosts a bi-monthly clinic. This provides the residents of Clarkston, who do not have access to healthcare, the opportunity to consult and be treated by a team of specialized doctors, nurses, and other health professionals.
